Every aspect of the Dementia Enrichment Center’s Day Program is designed specifically for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, with the needs of caregivers in mind.
Enrichment Club provides planned activities selected to support cognitive engagement, creative expression, movement, socialization, confidence, and personal connection. Participants also enjoy nutritional meals served to support healthy eating and community.
Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Families may choose their days and times, attend one to five days per week, and come and go during program hours. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included.
DEC lists community service projects, theme days and celebrations, games, music, outdoor activities, puzzles and thinking challenges, baking and food decorating, arts and crafts, chair yoga and meditation, exercise, tending chickens, feeding wildlife and birds, and both group and individual activities.
Our dementia-focused day program offers a familiar, engaging setting where participants can enjoy purposeful activities, movement, creative expression, meals, and time with others.

Enrichment Club provides 12 planned activities each day. Opportunities are designed around cognitive engagement, creative expression, movement, individual interests, and positive social connection.
Participants may join group experiences, spend time on an individual activity, or simply enjoy being part of the community. Staff emphasize each person’s abilities and personal connections.
Participants may attend one to five days per week and come and go during program hours. We respect personal choice throughout the day.
Activities change with the season, the group, and participants’ interests.

Exercise, stretching, chair yoga, meditation, golf, basketball, badminton, bowling, and other adapted games.
Puzzles, scavenger hunts, games, community service projects, and activities that invite curiosity and participation.
Time outside, walking paths, tending the chickens, and feeding wildlife and birds in a secure setting.
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared onsite and shared as part of the daily rhythm.
Group and individual opportunities support conversation, familiarity, belonging, and meaningful relationships.
Dementia Enrichment Center welcomes students from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s nursing and occupational therapy programs, as well as second-year medical students from Baylor College of Medicine.
These learning relationships help future professionals experience person-centered dementia support in a real community setting.
